For an immersive and interactive museum experience that combines science and the culture of Fort Collins, look no further than the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery. The museum is one of the city’s gems, welcoming visitors of all ages to learn about the vibrant community that makes up Fort Collins.

The History of the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery

The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery (FCMoD) opened in 2012. It was the result of the merging of two other museums: The City of Fort Collins Museum established in 1941 and the Discovery Science Center established in 1989. The intersection of science and culture is at the heart of FCMoD, and the continued partnership between the museum and the City of Fort Collins helps keep the museum going. FCMoD was also made possible by support from members of the Fort Collins community.
